What personal data do we collect?

Personal data is information that identifies you. We collect, process and use this data to provide you with the services in this application. We collect, process and use the following personal data: your name, national registration card number, Bar Council number, mobile number, email, mention on behalf rate, credit card details, conversations with another lawyer that takes place on the application, any additional information provided by you or other lawyers, and such information required for providing you with the services in this application. We expect and assume that the information you submitted is accurate, current, complete and true unless you inform us or we discover otherwise. 

Source of personal data

Personal data collected will mainly be from you. However, some personal data may also be collected from other available sources including but not limited to credit reporting agencies, government department or agencies, public registries, websites, and the Bar Council. 

How we use your personal data

We use your personal data for the following reasons: i) to verify your identity; ii) to communicate with you; iii) to facilitate your communication with other lawyers on the application; iv) to enable you to use the application; v) for billing purposes; and vi) for all other purposes in relation to or incidental to the use of the application. 

Disclosing your personal data

Sometimes we are required to disclose your personal data to 3rd parties. These 3rd parties to whom we may disclose your personal data are as follows: i) any persons directed by or consented to by you; ii) any person for the purposes of compliance with legal and regulatory requirements; iii) our data processors i.e. 3rd parties we engage to process personal data on our behalf including but not limited to archival storage, data entry service providers, computer backup services, disaster recovery services, banks and financial institutions etc.; and iv) our professional advisors including but not limited to legal advisors, tax advisors, financial advisors, auditors, insurance brokers etc.

Obligation to provide personal data

Providing your personal data is voluntary in nature. However, if you do not provide such information, we cannot communicate with you and grant you access to the services in the application.
